ATOS and Lexile measures are both valid and reliable measures of text complexity that provide a basis for matching students to reading materials.

Listen from the educators worldwide:

We've seen massive success with children being able to independently read the text, realise there is words that they are not sure how to use and they can simply click on the dictionary to find the definition but also to find examples of how that word is used in sentences.

Renaissance solutions have been beneficial in checking the students' understanding, because sometimes after students have read a book you cannot identify whether they just flipped through very quickly, so for teachers and myself as a teacher/librarian it's better for us to know that the students really understand the story. With the reports there, I can help the teacher to generate the skill building reports that show very clearly what skills students are not very good at, and what their strengths are, especially in their English skills, so that teachers can help them.

"I see the Accelerated Reader programme, as an excellent opportunity to instil a passion for reading in the boys, many of whom lacked the enthusiasm to engage with literature. We used myON and Accelerated Reader to encourage them to start with simple texts, gradually building their confidence and interest in reading. Our efforts have been successful, and we have made significant progress this year.
