LONDON, UK (26 February 2026) — Renaissance, a global leader in education technology, has today announced the appointment of Scott Van der Linden as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Renaissance Global. Based in London, Van der Linden will lead all UK and international operations and will report directly to CEO Chris Bauleke.
Van der Linden steps into the role as education systems around the world face mounting pressure to raise attainment, bring greater consistency to classroom practice and adapt to rapid changes in technology. With schools in more than 110 countries relying on Renaissance’s assessment, data and teaching and learning solutions, his mandate includes expanding access to Renaissance’s technology, deepening strategic partnerships and advancing product innovation tailored to local contexts.
A key priority for Van der Linden will be guiding the international rollout of Renaissance Intelligence, the company’s groundbreaking new Education Intelligence System, which is launching in the US and will soon be followed by an international expansion. This unified platform connects assessment, teaching and learning tools, and curriculum alignment with powerful AI to transform personalisation, simplify teachers’ workload and accelerate learning at scale.
By introducing these capabilities to global markets, Renaissance aims to address one of the most persistent challenges in education: connecting learning data with day-to-day teaching decisions. Renaissance Intelligence is designed to help schools worldwide provide more personalised learning, ensure earlier intervention and provide greater support to teachers.

Van der Linden joined Renaissance in 2022 and brings over a decade of experience in operational leadership, international expansion, and corporate development. Prior to Renaissance, he held leadership roles at Wind River Environmental, Cayan and Providence Equity Partners.
